It's official, we bought it.

Yep, we bought the civic! Am I still stressing like no other? Not nearly as much as I was when we were at the auction on Saturday. I'm actually pretty excited about it!! Steve and I are debating on what car now we want to sale...since we now have three. The original idea was, let's buy the civic and then sale it and make a profit (since we got it for such a good deal), but once I started driving it I had to keep it! Steve likes it a lot too, and so he agrees.

This is a pic of what it looks like. I found it off of google images..

Now to sale one of the two other cars...

Oh and I CAN"T believe it's Snowing today!!! It's going to be April 1st tomorrow!! (Picture courtersy by ksl.com)

Weekend to Remember.

I taught the lesson today on the Easter story. I think it went really well. I seriously love this calling. I taught the story with the Easter Eggs with the bible story in each and then with an object which is symbolic to each part of the story. For instance, egg #1 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying "O my father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." And then I had an unused sacrament cup inside of the egg...and than I had each girl pick an egg and read the story 1-12. Then we watched 10 minutes of the movie "Finding Faith in Christ." I think the girls really enjoyed it. Thanks to my cute mamasita for the Egg idea. I seriously can't wait for when Steve and I have kiddos to tell them the Easter story this way too. I've always learned better visually, and this shows the story perfectly.

Some Beehives in my class told me that they wanted to come and visit with me. That seriously made my day. I'm happy to know that they love me just as much as I love them. So, Later today two of the girls came over and brought the "Friend" magazine with brownies and a note. They told me they are going to by my "mini" visiting teachers. So cute! Keep in mind these girls are only 12 years old. So, We sat down and they gave Steve and I a lesson with questions too!! They said that this would help them pass off some of their personal progress. I thought it was so cute! The story was so cute, and the questions they asked were really good questions too. After they gave me their lesson I asked if they wanted to play a game. So, the three of us (minus Steve, he has/had homework) played Phase 10 dice. :) As I drove the girls home they asked when I get off work tomorrow, so they can come play again with me. Ha ha. I told them they need to talk with their parents first. I would love to have these two over again anytime! They bring such a sweet spirit, and they are so funny!

Brownies and note to Steve & I

Steve and I also had the opportunity of going to the temple on Thursday night with some friends in our ward. It's amazing how the world can be so busy, and then when you step in the temple everything else just goes away by the peace of the temple. I'm so happy that the temple is so close to us and that we can go together.

What else? Yesterday Steve, my dad and I went to a car auction for fun. Oh my, can I just say I don't think I EVER want to go to one of those again. So chaotic. I had knots in my stomach the entire time.. and my stomach really hurt when Steve bid on an '05 Honda Civic and YES, we won/bought the car. Luckily though because we bid the car for so low the auction-er had to call the owner of the car to see if that would be fine if he sold it to us for so low. Well, the owner said No, it wasn't fine and that he wanted us to pay more. We said NO, (thank goodness..I get so stressed when we buy big things..) So, we left the auction and on our way we went. 15 minutes later we get a call from the owner of the car, saying you guys can have the car for the price you bid it on. So, we said we will think about it and get back to him on Monday. I'm thinking it's a no go, but it's a hard decision. Steve's Honda right now has been nothing but trouble for us for the last couple weeks, so yes, we do need a reliable car. But, if we get the other car tomorrow we will have 3 cars. So unnecessary. I should be ecstatic about getting a new car for us, I just think way too much into the situation dang it.

On the happier side, Steve and I watched Carson yesterday for just a couple hours while Kody and Jade went on a date. Carson is so super cute! I can't get over his chubby cheeks! He helped me make rice krispies treats w/sprinkles on top, we danced around, and watched some of "Little Einsteins." I sure love Cars, I'm so happy that he's my nephew.

I had to do this goofy/non attractive face MULTIPLE times....

To finally get this! So cute! Poor baby though, he wasn't feeling the best.

A couple weeks ago I put all the dried flowers that Steve gave me into a basket and made a decoration out of it! I think it turned out pretty cute! :)

Now to go to my parent's house for some dinner!! So excited that I don't have to cook tonight.

Sick to my stomach.

about the Health Care Reform being passed today. Thank goodness a lot of the bill won't come into effect for a couple years... I'm not going to get on a soap box, but if you don't know much about it, read this information on this link
http://www.americanbenefitscouncil.org/issues/health/healthcarereform.cfm
and then decide for yourself.

This morning isn't going so well. We woke up hearing our carbon monoxide alarm going off, bright and early around 5:30am.
Steve has a test this morning so he had to get up extra early to study, and while he tried starting our civic, it wouldn't start. We just got the civic back on Friday. It just keeps getting more and more problems with it. Or maybe the problem was never fixed. This will be the 3rd week of car problems.

I'm just grumpy today. I can see the sun shining...that's something to be happy about.

L*O*V*E*D this Weekend!

This last weekend was a lot of fun! I ran into one of my really good friends from high school (Josie Lewis) on Thursday night at Ikea. It was so fun to see her. I swear it's been 6 years since I had last seen her. It's so sad that we never really saw or spoke to each other after she got married and moved to AZ. I hate how that happens. I feel like a horrible friend. But, their was no awkwardness we were able to just catch up where we left off. Steve had a fun time too getting to know her and her hubby! And I found out that she now lives really close to me, so now we can hangout again. So that was a highlight of the start of my weekend for sure. :)

Friday, Steve had school and so I spent the day with Marie and Deni. I freak'n love these two! Marie's hubby went on a camping trip, so we had a craft day. Marie made the cutest baby shower gift for her friend. Home-made bows made from ribbons, and I can't mention on here what I made because it's for Erin for her baby shower next month. Which I'm sooo excited about!! I can't wait to see you Erin!! I miss you lots!! Erin and I have known each other since I we were 4.
Anyway, I had such a fun time with Marie and Deni! I loved having a craft day with two of my very favorite people.

Saturday, I met up with my mom in-law. We went to her stake activity classes. I went with her last year and I took the grocery smarts class. I LOVE the activities. I always learn so much, and I have a great time with Ellen. This year I took the gardening class, and then how to Freeze dry food. I went to the first class with Ellen (the gardening class) and then I went to the freeze dry by myself. Ellen wanted more information on pruning. Which I had no need for, so I went to other one. I learned so much and this cute lady that I met at the class bought me a freeze dry cook book full of all these recipes! I thought that was so nice, I didn't even think of bringing money and she wanted to get me one. She just told me to make sure that "I pay it forward".
After our classes, Ellen and I went to Costco and we did some shopping. I had a great time with Ellen. I'm really so lucky to have such a fun mom in -law. I came home and Steve cleaned both cars! What a cutie! I was so happy to find that my truck was clean. Steve and I hung out the rest of the night and I had a fun time with my hubby!!! Oh and how could I forget?! Steve got me the movie "New Moon." I was SOO happy about that. :)

Sunday, I taught the Beehives again! L*O*V*E this calling!! I seriously look forward to Wednesday's and Sunday's so that I can see the girls!
Steve and I are taking a Geneology class during Sunday school and it's so exciting to me. I can't get enough of this! I love learning about our ancestory.
After church we went to Brad and Lisa's for dinner. It was a lot of fun being able to spend time with all the family! I just love Steve's side of the fam, we always do such fun stuff.

Lots of Advice Please..

So, I can't believe it's already the second week of March! I WANTED to start up the Book Club Blog, but haven't had the time to get that going.

I hope some of you still want to do this with me, I brought it up once and than kind of left it hanging...

I needed some advice on what the name should be, I want it to be creative, not just titled: Book Club Blog. That's boring. So, Could everyone shout out your ideas for the name please, and then I'll get that started. :)

Here's some of my ideas:
*bookhappy.blogspot.com
*bookladies.blogspot.com
and that's all I got.. I need help! ha ha

I also was thinking we could read "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. Does that sound like a good choice? I'm going to start the book club officially April 1. So, if you want to participate in it, get that book! :)

Oh and if your reading this please post a no, or a yes if you want to do this or not. That way I have a good count to make sure it's even worth my time to make this other blog.
Thanks! :)

Sleepover

I slept over at Grandma Anderson's house on Friday night. Steve went with the YM to a cabin for the night to go snow mobiling. Grandma hasn't been feeling very well lately, and I wanted to spend some time with her as well as make a video of her. I asked her a bunch of different questions about herself/her family/my grandpa etc. I'm really excited about it, I think it turned out pretty awesome. I'm going to include pictures and make it into a dvd.

Grandma and I had a great time! I loved asking her questions and finding out more information about her and my grandpa. We talked and played "Phase 10 dice." Grandma LOVED it! She loved the fact that she beat me too. ha ha. I got this cute picture of her rolling the dice! ha ha. Love this lady!

In the morning I took Grandma to go and get her errands done, and than I took her to my parents house so she could spend time with my parents! I had so much fun with Grandma! I just love her to death!

Bingo! Bingo!

Yesterday, (Wed) I was able to get off work for just a couple hours so that I could go and play bingo with my Great Grandpa Joe.

Lately I've seriously been getting strong feelings that I need to spend time with my grandparents. I don't know if it's because I've been reading my grandpa Anderson's journal, or what it is. I just can't get enough of spending time with them. My great Grandpa Joe turns 95 this year, and so, I know that I have limited time with him.

My mom and I met up with him at his home that he's staying at and we played bingo with him. Grandpa can't see very well, mostly just shadows and things on the side. So, he wouldn't be able to play bingo without anyone helping him. Grandpa is seriously one of the luckiest guys I know! He won 2 times and my mom says that every time she goes (every wed) he never loses. It's really cute he says "bingo-bingo"! When he won we were telling him what he could chose from, and he said "I'll take the popcorn, you like popcorn don't ya? and then he said he won it for me." so cute. I seriously love Grandpa so much.
After bingo we had lunch with Grandpa, and told him we will see him soon. He said he really appreciates us. We really appreciate him.

I headed back into work and worked until 6pm and then met Steve and the YW/YM at the visitors center so we could watch the "Joseph Smith" movie. I love this movie! I've seen it once when it first came out, and each time I've seen it I get more out of it. I love this movie, it strengthens my testimony even more. I know I've said this before but I LOVE the YW program.

P.S. I have the CUTEST video of Grandpa ever on my phone, but I can't figure out to send it from my phone to my computer. I've tried sending it via text to my email but it doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas how I can get it on my computer? I really want to add it to this post. :)
