Frugal shopping website

Steve was gone for the weekend, on a business trip in Canada, and so I kept myself busy! I sure missed him, but I had a fun weekend. :) I'm super proud of myself too, I didn't think I could make it for a weekend without him. (We are completely attached at the hip!!)

JUST SO YOU KNOW: This is a long post about what I did this weekend, So it may be a little boring for you, I like to document everything because this is pretty much a journal for me. So, if you want to find out info on the shopping website, skip to SATURDAY!

Friday night I was able to go to my friend Anne's house, we went on a walk, had pizza and played Settlers with her two boys! I LOVE SETTLERS!! I absolutely love games! :)

Saturday I woke up and mom ford called me and asked me to go to this stake activity with her, where you can choose the classes you want to learn more on...man, i wish i could think of the name of it. For example: You can go to a frugal shopping class, food storage class, finance class, etc. Anyway, we went to this frugal shopping class. It's so AWESOME!!! It's at http://www.grocerysmarts.com/ and then you'll want to put in the Utah passport: g84cjg. On the website it will show you different grocery stores and the deals and specials that they have going on. So, if your like me and want to save money, You should check it out, it's really easy to look at and it's FREE! We also went to the Food Storage class, which was really helpful. I really need to get on that. I had lots of fun with mom ford! thanks again!

Then a little after 12 pm, I went over to my friend's Carrie's house and picked her up so we could run to ROBERTS and pick up some card stuff, for our card group for Tuesday. Carrie and I found some fun stuff , and then we went to Walmart. Carrie wanted to pick up TWILIGHT, so we could watch it while we made our cards. YAY!! I can't believe Twilight is already on DVD already. We watched Twilight, had papa John's and worked on our cards. Then after the show, I headed over to Kart and Chris's new condo, and helped them move in!! I'm so excited for them to be able to have there own place. It's really nice too!

Sunday I went to church, taught nursery, and then Steve came home by 3:00! :) yay! Steve and I then went to the Draper Temple dedication with our landlord and their family (The Behunins). I love the temples! I'm so grateful that temples are so close to where we live. I love that when Steve and I go, or if I go, I always feel at peace when I'm there.

Monday Steve Suprised me with TWILIGHT! So, now we have our own dvd of the movie. I really like the movie a lot. I can't wait for the second one to come out in the fall! Does anyone know if they are keeping Taylor? (The guy who plays Jacob) For the next one? I heard he couldn't get 'big' enough to play Jacob in the second part of the series. I hope they keep all of the same characters. Anyway, I LOVE surprises and I was so happy when steve surprised me with this one! I love you Steve!

Happy St Patty's Day!

I wish that I could be in Chicago today! They Dye there river green!
How cool is that? I would LOVE to be there! The color reminds me of the Wizard of Oz for some reason....
I couldn't figure out how to post this youtube video of them actually dying the river, but go to this link and check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFXlPJ9hKrY

Steve and I at the Homecoming
Kolten, Kris and Kody-all together again!

Steve and Kris

Good times with Family and Friends
This weekend was super busy, but lots of fun. Friday night Steve had a regional church ball game, because his team won the first game on Thursday night. WOOT WOOT! Steve did an AWESOME job! I love watching him play. :) Steve's family met up with us after Jason (Steve's bro) picked up mom and dad Ford from the airport. They went to New Zealand for a couple weeks for a nice vacation together. Steve and I stayed with lil'whittle and had a lot of fun with her! I'll have to write about that on another post...
Anywho, so we all watched Steve's game, unfortunatley Steve's team lost, and a lot of the time the ref was makeing some LAME-O calls. oh well, what can you do? I swear he was on a power trip or something...
After the game we were able to go out to dinner to Salsaledos as a family and listen to the fun stories that Bob and Ellen had on there trip. Once we were all done eating we headed over to the Ford's house and they showed us the souiveners they got, and then gave us all gifts.
Steve got these really nice board shorts, he's been needing some for a long time. Then they gave me this really pretty green stone necklace. I LOVE it! It's way pretty huh? The Stones all have meaning, mine is Rua Rua: Represents a bonding of friendship, two lives becoming one for all eternity. Keeps away illness, bad fortune and wards off evil spirits.

Saturday Steve and I went to Costco with my dad and was able to help him get things ready for Kris's homecoming. It was fun spending time with him, he's so fun to be around and he always has lots of good advice. After grocery shopping, Steve and I went and picked up midge to take her over to the Ford's house to help us get Whit ready for her junior prom. Kjersti and Ellen curled whit's hair while I painted her fingernails. It was fun helping Whit, and she looked so pretty in her dress! And midge did an AWESOME job on Whit's hair!!

Once Whit left, Steve and I met up with our good friends the Bowmans. We met them at Chili's and had a great time visiting with them, then we headed over to there place and played Mario Cart and Wii fit. Wii fit is SOOO fun! We loved hanging out with you Todd and Laris!

Sunday morning came fast. We went to Kris's homecoming, and listened to him speak. Wow, my brother is amazing. He sure grew up fast from his mission. He did an amazing job, I could listen to him all day. His testimony really touched me, and it makes me want to be a better person. I'm so grateful that he went on a mission, and I know that what he learned on his mission will be with him for the rest of his life.
We had lots of family and friends come over to my parent's house after church and had breakfast. It was fun to see all of our family and friends support Kris. I just love family!
Then the Ford's invited us over for dinner, so once we left my parents house we went there and had a yummy meal from mom ford, and had fun spending time together. They rented the movie "Australia" and let Steve and I borrow it, so once we came home we watched that. I LOVED that movie! It's sooo good. It was really nice to just relax and spend time with my hubby!

My First.....

It was a complete accident though, (yea, yea that's what they all say right?) Well, I was driving to midge's basketball game with my mamasita. My mom looks over at me and say's "Keira why are you going so fast?" I said "Mom, I'm only going 5 over. They won't pull you over for going five over." (I was going 70) Mom says "No, Keira the speed limit is only 55!" "Mom".... I look in my rear view mirror and sure enough, I see the bright red flashing lights. I was going to have a heart attack! Okay, when was bangeter highway's speed only 55?
Yep, I got my first speeding ticket. I couldn't talk my way out of it. I was too in shock to realize what the blast was going on anyway. The officer was nice though, and he only put me for going 5 over. I deserve the ticket, I'm just a little bummed.
Oh and FYI-for going 5 over, it's $85.00!!! sheesh!

On a side note...
Thanks everyone for the great advice/comments from my last post. That helped me out a lot. It's great to know that I'm not the only one who is/had those feelings regarding babies. :) It's such a HUGE descision, and if you have any other advice regarding what helped you prepare, let me know. Thanks Again!

Baby Blues

No, I'm not prego, nor was I ever. Steve and I aren't even trying for kids right now. (Hopefully soon though.)
I have this little nagging feeling to get on the band wagon and start our little family. Everywhere I go, I see babies, and I swear that little feeling inside is saying get on it!
I went shopping for baby clothes with my mom in law a couple weeks ago to find a baby outfit for my cute cousin. I loved looking at all the baby stuff, and all the cute little things. Made me wish that I was picking up stuff for me and Steve's lil' one.
Steve and I have been preparing to start our family, and Steve is just as anxious as I am, but it seems like our preparing is taking FOREVER! I know, it's a great idea to plan a head. I'm always up for planning and being prepared, but i'm ready to be a mom.
Doesn't everyone get those feelings when ITS time?

Okay, I feel much better now.
