Oooh it's LADIES NIGHT!

This weekend was AWESOME, besides that fact that Steve was gone.... He was working for his dad. Which was of course, very appreciated! We love that Bob always gives Steve job opportunities for us.

Since the cabin was being remodeled, we couldn't go to the cabin for conference. So, I was able to have ladies night with my mamasita and sista's! :) We we're able to go downtown to Desert Book and have ladies night! It's always so crazy busy there, but it's awesome. It's only women-since all the men are at priesthood session. Different authors and singers come and sign books and perform. They even do a drawing-and guess what? I WON! I won a really awesome book too. I've already read half of it. It's a book that talks about the importance of being a woman and how you make a difference in different aspects of life. Whether you're a leader, grandmother, sister and of course being a mother.

Eating at a sandwich shop

I was super excited that I won-holy toledo-I look like a pasty next to Kjersti!

This is the Ochiwa family-We've known them for 10years! We met them at one of our first ladies nights and we never plan on going with them, but we always run into them-which is always awesome.

Thanks Mom, Kart and Midgey for such a fun night! Love you!

P.s. We missed you Jade and Jess!

April Fool's!

My work is AWESOME!!! My team is all about doing practical jokes on everyone-especially on April Fool's day. I've always loved playing a little joke on someone-I get that from my cute daddy-o.

My sup-Jen went to New Orleans for business this week, and didn't come back until today. My team that I work with wanted to welcome her back with putting stuff all of her desk! Don't worry she didn't think it was mean-she is a really good sport about it and got all of us back through out the day.

My friend Elizabeth wanted to toilet paper our manager Connie's office- who is over the entire office. I didn't dare to do that. Connie is super nice, but I just started working here not too long ago! I didn't want to step on any one's toes. (Connie was a good sport about it too! :))

Well when I got into the office, I was setting up my computer and my mouse wasn't working. So I unplug it and it still wouldn't work-so then I ask for batteries. I turn the mouse over and someone put tape over my mouse. The tape over mouse trick! ha! Tape kept reappearing on my mouse throughout the day! (Not too bad. huh?)
My other team mates received all the stuff on her desk-on there desk! ha ha! And Elizabeth-well, she kept getting phone calls and texts about an ad that she put up on KSL-(she never really put up an ad). Ha ha! She thinks it was Jen and Connie really getting her back!

What a fun day! I'm glad my co-workers like to have a laugh and have a good time!

P.s. Lunch was SOOOO nice! I loved eating outside in the warm weather and feeling like it's actually spring!

Best Day Ever!

We found out this morning that Steve is accepted to the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN NEVADA! We are THRILLED!!! I'm so super proud of him! He start's the end of August! :)

We celebrated by going to Tepanyaki Japanese Grill and spending time together!

We seriously feel so grateful to Heavenly Father for helping us get this far, and that we don't have to move away from home!

Knitting.

So I may have started a new hobby. Knitting.

One of the ladies I visit teach is always making a scarf. Really cute scarves too. So, I asked her if she could show me how to knit. It should be easy right?

Holy toledo. It's so hard for me right now! My fingers just can't seem to hold the needles right! It just seems sooo akward. Terry showed me how to do it, with quick easy steps and she makes it look sooo easy. She said it takes lots of practice.

I'm excited to see my scarf when it's finished. If I finish...sheesh.

If any of you knit-What's the easiest way you hold you're needles?

Night with Little Man.

Gosh. I love this kid.

P.s. I promise I got ready today..but that's what you look like after getting only a couple of hours of sleep the night before. (My cyst joyfully burst last night! Good news is-it's gone!!)

Lightbulb.

You know. I've been thinking. I'm always thinking....

Why didn't I realize this sooner?

I've been battling the fact that I don't have a little bambino in my life for quite awhile now. Where I've really felt down and discouraged. When really it all makes sense in the scheme of things. Steve is going to be in school for 3 years. 3 years!! Pharmacy school is super intense and I've heard nothing but the fact that it completely keeps him busy. Busy time means-not as much me and him time.
Steve hasn't been excepted yet in pharmacy school, but I just keep getting these feelings that we are going to have change in our life.
You know, generally I don't do well with change. But, I've felt at peace.

Last night Steve and I had FHE and I read in the Ensign-The Savior's Compassion by S. Kent Brown. The story is about the miracle of the apostles catching multiple fish. When I've heard that story before that's all I've really thought about it, it was a great miracle. But, the story goes into deeper meaning eventually getting to the point that the Savior was really looking out for the apostles and for all of their families while they were going to dedicate their lives to the gospel. In that location it was common for fish to be pickled, allowing them to be good for a long time. So, that amount of fish in those size of boats helped the apostles families be financially stable while the apostles did the Lords work.

This story really opened my eyes. It's so easy to look at what's going on now and not really see the whole picture for things. Why are things happening the way they are or not for that matter? The way that I want them to? It's easy. It's all in the Lord's time. I really know that Steve and I haven't had a baby yet because this time is me and him time. 3 years in school really isn't that long. But, we've been able to build a strong relationship with the years that we've had just me and him time. No babies. Makes complete sense. The Lord does have compassion over me, and us. I just needed to soften my heart to get that answer.
