HaLlOwEeN Weekend

Steve and I started off our weekend going to "This is It" which I absolutely LOVED!!! The dancing and music is SOOO good! I seriously loved it, I could watch it again and again. MJ was SO talented. As I listened to the music I just wanted to get up and dance and sing a long.

After the movie we were able to go and visit with Matt and Allie and there little girl Lucy. It was really fun to see them. Steve served with Matt on his mission, and it had been way too long since we've seen them last. So we had fun catching up with them and seeing their really cute new house.
On Saturday, (Halloween) Steve and I went over to the Ford's house. Steve studied ALL day and did a research paper, while mom ford, Whit and I canned our very own applesauce! We spent pretty much the whole day doing this. I had no idea it took so long... I LOVED it though! I thought it was really nice of Ellen to teach me. It was a lot of work, but with good company it was a lot of fun. While we waited for the bottles to seal, Ellen and I went on a nice walk. The walk was really nice and the weather was perfect for kids to go trick-or-treating! I had a lot of fun with Steve's mom and whit! I sure feel really blessed to have such awesome in-laws!

Also this weekend Steve and I heard on the news about Mary Strey. Steve and I were laughing SOO hard when we heard this on the news. If you haven't heard about it, here it is:
Clark County woman recently called 911 to report a drunk driver, but it turns out, she was the one under the influence.
Dispatcher: Clark County 911
Mary Strey: Somebody's really drunk driving down Granton Road...
Dispatcher: ...Which way are they going?
Mary Strey: They are going, um...
Dispatcher: Towards Granton or towards Neillsville?
Mary Strey: Towards Granton
Dispatcher: Okay are you behind them, or...
Mary Strey: No, I am them
Dispatcher: You am them?
Mary Strey: Yes, I am them
Dispatcher: Okay, so you want to call and report that you're driving drunk?
Mary Strey: Yes
Oh and I couldn't resist adding this picture of our cute nephew Carson. He dressed up as a lil' pumpkin for Halloween. (Thanks Jade for the Pic)

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!

Time sure does fly! I can't believe Halloween is already this Saturday!!! Seems like it's just the beginning of October. Steve and I haven't even decided on our Halloween costumes this year...I just LOVE the Holidays! I love this time of year.

Steve is SOOO cute he surprised me with these pretty little babies...what a great way to start off the week!

This last weekend was really fun. On Friday Steve and I went to Austin's (Steve's cousin) last football game, and spent time with the family. The Ford family is awesome, everyone is so supportive. All of the cousins, uncles, aunts and grandma and grandpa came to watch him play.
I'm not really a football fan, but I had a lot of fun supporting Austin and spending time with everyone. After the game Steve and I went to FROGURT with mom and dad Ford,Whit and Jason and Shannon. Frogurt is DELICIOUS! I LOVE frozen yogurt, and you can put as much topping that you want it!!

On Saturday, Steve had a test that he had to take. So, he was gone for the majority of the day. I got all the regular house work done, and then I was able to sew. I'm helping one of my good friends Carrie make baby leggings. They are turning out super cute. Her little guy is going to be a pirate this year for Halloween, and so we made him black and white leggings.
Anyway, my day was pretty relaxing, and then my sister Kartier invited Steve and I to go over to her house and watch the BYU game and have dinner.
The dinner was Deli sh! The game was pretty bad...Steve was disappointed. Kart and I went and rented "The Proposal" from redbox and had fun talking. After the game, we all watched the Proposal. It was a really fun night!

.
Sunday we went over to my brother Kody's house. Jade made us a really good dinner, and then we all carved pumpkins! :) We always have such a good time with these two, and with Lil' man Carson. Steve and I are super blessed to have such awesome familes, on both sides.

Lately....

Work has been pretty awesome. I'm really happy that my company has been doing little incentives. It gets really hard some days working at a desk all day taking call after call. I mean, I'm SUPER grateful that I have a great job, that pays well and has great benefits, but it gets pretty monotonous. (I'm sure all jobs get that way right?)

This week they are doing a movie on the clock. How cool is that? Get paid to watch a movie! Everyone who hit there stats for a month is able to see "A nightmare before Christmas." I can't wait!! I LOVE watching movies.

They also did a contest where everyone at work nominates a Customer service King and Queen. I was nominated as queen! he he! I won a crown and some money! woot woot!

We also have been doing guessing games...for example: Everyone brought pictures of themselves as a baby, and then we guess who the baby is, if you get them right you win a prize! It's really fun to see what people looked like as a baby! We also did a smile guessing game, they took our picture of just our smile and we had to guess who it was.

Besides work...

Steve has been super busy with lots of school work and studying for exams. He's such a great husband. He does so much for me and I'm so grateful for him.

We've also been going to whit's volleyball games. I LOVE watching volleyball. Other than that, we have been taking it easy and spending time with one another.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

We celebrated my cute mom's birthday this weekend. It was a lot of fun to get together with all my brothers and sisters (minus Kris). We wish he could of came, but he was still in Vegas after seeing the Football game with some friends.

We had a nice dinner, and enjoyed every one's company. Steve and I made desert for my mom. She LOVES pie. So, instead of making her a birthday cake we made her PIE POPS. My mom loves PUMPKIN, so we made half pumpkin and half Raspberry. They were a total hit. They are super easy to make too. I found them at BAKERELLA.Com

The guys all watched football, and all the girls in the fam hung out. I gave my mom a manicure for her birthday. :) Kart and KJ talked with us while I was giving her one.

Also this weekend,Steve and I hung out with Todd and Larissa. We had them over for dinner and then we went to the movies and saw "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs." It was a really cute movie. Then we went back to there place and hung out. They have the CUTEST dog named POLO.

We had a fun weekend, and I'm super grateful for my cute mom. I feel very blessed to have such a fun, funny, caring, and thoughtful mom. I SURE LOVE YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Randomness

Conference weekend was a lot of fun. We went to the Ford's cabin, like we do every conference and spend time with the fam. We play games, eat great food, and watched conference! I really loved conference. It always goes by way too fast.
I really loved when President Monson spoke on service. I thought it was awesome how he received so many cards and my favorite, was the "warm fuzzy" jar. How cute is that? I love how conference always brings me up, and makes me want to do better.
I need to do more service.

Steve taught me and my sis in law how to drive a stick-shift!! Ya ya! I'm so excited! Our Honda isn't automatic, and so I can only drive my truck, which is fine...but how nice is it going to be when I can go grocery shopping and take the civic and not pile all the grocery's on me! So excited about that!! Steve tried teaching me when we were first married, and I got too frustrated. I love driving the civic. It's a lot more fun, but I'm not willing to drive it in the snow (when that comes). Too scary.

I'm still not prego. Which is disappointing, I wish that I was. Hopefully soon.........

Steve and I bought our first big purchase!! New couches! I was seriously stressing over it. It's not like we didn't have the money for it, but it's a big purchase for us, and I just stress..it's how I am. I absolutely love the new couches, they are a GREAT upgrade from our last. I can't complain though, our last couches were given to us.

I'm already tired of the cold. I HATE the cold weather. I LOVE the Holidays though.

I'm really bummed that I have to work Friday's this month. I loved my 4-10 days. Steve has Friday's off now too. I loved having a long weekend with him.

I finished reading Twilight and New Moon again. I'm SOOO excited for the new movie! Can November come fast enough?

CornBelly's Cornmaze

I LOVE Thanksgiving Point! They always have such fun stuff going on there! Friday night Steve and I went to CornBelly's with Kody and Jade, and Kris and Tina.

It was a lot of fun! Everything there was pretty much free except for the Corn maze. And the corn maze was only 3.93 a person! So it was a ton of fun, plus a super cheap date!
I also loved the smell of pumpkins and popcorn. I seriously love the smell of fall. I can't wait for the fall leaves, and for the holidays. If the weather didn't turn so cold, I would love this season even more.

While we were there we looked at a pumpkin tree, and on each side of the tree it has a theme. The themes consisted of movies, pirates, dinosaurs, and local themes. They turned out amazing! After we saw the tree, we went to a 3-d fun house. I loved it. It was for little kids, so it wasn't even scary or creepy. I hate scary things! The fun house was really cute with lots of fun colors and bubbles everywhere.
As we walked to the corn maze, Tina and I found a "chicken coop" filled with corn and sawdust. Tina and I were the only ones who wanted to go in, so we enjoyed ourselves in it. OH and Some random child decides to throw the corn and sawdust in my hoodie, and some in Tina's pants!! WHAT THE? Her mom is on the side just laughing, and saying "kids will be kids." Are you kidding me? Seriously. Steve caught the child on camera. I had no idea the child was doing this at the time...Naughty kid...

Anyway, the corn maze and thanksgiving point was a lot of fun!! I think it was a great way to start off the fall season!

Grandpa and Grandma Visit

Grandpa and Grandma Ford came to our house on Thursday night. It was so fun to have them come and visit with us. It was a perfect way to start our weekend. (Steve and I both have Friday's off now). Steve and I bought a couch and a chair, and they wanted to come and look at it. I love it. Every time they come they also bring us a goody.

We had a great time having them come and visit with us. I am super lucky to now have them as my grandparents as well. From day one when I first met them, they have always been so loving to me, and make me feel just like one of their own grand kids. Steve and I sure love them, and we can't wait to see them again soon.
