I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

I survived the 3 1/2 months w/out Steve!! Steve is driving home TOMORROW!!! I can't wait! I'm seriously counting down the hours! AHH!! The time just can't come quick enough. I wish that the drive didn't take him 2 days...

This last weekend was a lot of fun! I was able to drive to Centerville to visit Steve's cousin Shannon. Her hubby was at scout camp, so what a perfect excuse to get together and have a girls night! I had a lot of fun w/ her making a homemade cucumber mask. The mask didn't turn out exactly like we expected, but it did leave our faces a lot smoother. :)
We also watched High school Musical 3! I LOVE those movies!

On Friday, I was able to hang out with Marie and Deni! Oh how I've missed them! I was able to see Marie's GORGEOUS house all decorated, and we were able to catch up and have lunch.
Later that day, I went over to my in law's house and hung out with Whit! We went shopping for a bridal gift, and then went to Jamba Juice.

On Saturday, Whit and I went to the bridal shower for Krissi, it was really nice. She had an open house and breakfast. After the bridal shower Whit and I went and watched her friend play soccer at Riverton High school.
After the game, I went over to my mom's house and made my very first homemade salsa!!
My parents were so nice, and let me plant my first salsa garden at there place! So, it was really fun being able to cook with the vegetables that I had planted and grown! The process was really long, but WELL worth it!
After making Salsa, I went back over to my in laws and had mom Ford and Whit try the salsa, and then we watched "Sweet Home Alabama."

Sunday was also a busy day! I went to church, and was in nursery. We now have 17 kids assigned to our class. Usually, only 8-9 max show up. Today we had 13!! The kids were all pretty good, and it's always fun getting hugs from them. I love when the kids say "Sister Ford." One little girl calls me "Mr. Ford." I correct her, and she says that's what I said. he he. I just love the kids!
After church My landlord/friend Sherry had her Birthday BBQ, so I celebrated with them most of the night, and then it was my little brother Kolten's Priesthood Ordination!! I can't believe my baby brother is now an Elder. He is preparing now to go on his mission. I'm SOO excited for him!!

Phew, what a busy weekend!

I really just can't wait to see Steve!! Only 2 more days....

C A N A D A
I am SOO Happy that I was able to go and visit Steve!! It has been over a month since I last seen him. It's definitely been very hard being apart from one another, but it's also been a blessing too. Steve and I have an awesome relationship, and this has only made it even better. It's made me realize even more how grateful I am for our Temple marriage and that we will be together forever. The longest Steve and I had ever been a part for the last 2 1/2 years was one night, not even a full day. I honestly didn't think I could make it 3 1/2 months apart.

Thankfully, the lord has blessed us, and helped Steve and I be able to see each other once a month. I was able to go and see Steve for the weekend, It was a short trip, but so worth it. Every possible minute together is worth it.

On Thursday, I had a long day of spending time at the airport. I flew from SLC to the Seattle airport. It was nice being in Seattle again. It's crazy to think last summer, Steve and I were living there. Who knows where we will be next summer?

I had a long layover in Seattle, so I just spent time reading. I absolutely LOVE reading! I'm reading this book called "A Train to Potevka." It's a true story about an American spy in Russia. The author is a guy from Bear River, UT.
It's a really, really good book. I recommend it to everyone!
Anyway, I didn't arrive in Canada until about 11:40pm. I was super tired, but the fact that I was seeing Steve made my tired-ness not so important.

It's a bittersweet moment seeing each other. IT's AMAZING that we are finally together again, but it's horrible knowing our time together is for a short while.

Friday, Steve had to work, so I spent time with my sister in law Shannon. Shannon and I spent time at the mall. They have this store in Canada called LUSH. AH! I LOVE IT! It's all natural body soaps, and shampoo's, face wash etc... everything looks and smells so good, you could almost eat it. Check it out at this website: http://www.lush.ca/
So, we spent most of our time in this fun store, smelling and trying out this product.
We also found this one store, called Urban. These clothes were REALLY different, and really ugly. So, we picked out outfits for each other and tried them on, and then took pics! ha ha, what you do to have fun...

After our venture at the mall, we went home and made Canada pancakes. The pancakes are soo good! They are more cake-like, fluffy and sweet. They are really good with fruit.

Saturday, Steve had the day off! We were able to spend time together the entire day!! We were both so excited! We went to Peachland, which is 30 minutes from Kelowna. Peachland is a really pretty town. There are a lot of super cute shops, and a really pretty lake. The lake also has a dock where there's a built in diving board, and rope swing. I loved spending time with Steve. I really took for granite all the times when I was able to see Steve all the time. Even just holding his hand in the car brought butterflies in my stomach. Ah I just loved it!! Steve and I had a great time relaxing, talking and just loved spending time together.

After our day at the lake we grabbed some dinner and went home and played games with Shannon and Jason.

I had so much fun with Steve, and I'm so grateful that he's my eternal Hubby. I honestly love Steve more and more each day. He's my best friend, and I'm so blessed to have him.
I can't wait for Steve to be home again! But until then, I had a great time with you sweetie!

Weekend get a way

This weekend we had a fun time at the Ford cabin in Manilla, Ut. The fam picked me up from work on Friday, and then we made our way to the cabin. It's not a super long drive, about 2 1/2hrs. We stopped on our way there at this cute lil' diner called Sill's. They have super good food, and AMAZING scones with honey butter. The scones are seriously the size of a big plate. MMM!!

We made it to the cabin, and Jas and Shannon met us up there too. So it was nice having all the family together, minus Prest. (but he's on a mish, so thats where he belongs!) Anywho, After we were able to bring in all of our stuff, we started to play ROCKBAND!! WOOT WOOT! I LOVE this game! It was really fun! Mom and Dad Ford never played it before, and they had a great time too. :) After rockband, we turned on Wii sports, and made all of us a wii character. Who knew you could have soo much fun making an animated character of yourself!

Saturday morning we woke up to a foot of snow!! So, after breakfast and watching general conference we went for a little drive around manilla in Shannon's jeep. Steve and Jason shot pot guts, and then played wii bowling and then the guys got ready to go to the priesthood session. While they were gone;mom ford,Shannon, Whit and I played 3-13 and then Trinominos. :)
I was also able to FINALLY get my haircut. Yay!

Sunday, we watched more conference! (I could watch this ALL day! I loved it! ) Played more games and had a fun time spending time with one another. We drove home and made it back to our place around 7. My cute brother Kris came over and we watched the President Hinckley movie-"A Giant among Men." I've been wanting to see this movie for so long. The movie is the documentary of President Hinckley's life, starting from when he was a little boy. I really miss President Hinckley, but I'm happy that he's now with his sweet little wife. If you get a chance to see this, I definitely recommend it!

Family comes to visit!

YAY!! Kody, Jade and baby Carson came to visit! I was so happy to see them! We miss them lots. They have been living in Washington now for 6 months, and we don't get to see them very often.

They all came over on saturday night and we had dinner with them, and then we went to good ol' Redbox and picked out "Bolt." That movie is SO cute, and it's really funny!! I absolutley LOVE Disney movies! We had a great time catching up with them and enjoying their company. I can't believe how big Carson is now! He can crawl now, and pull himself up.
Then on Sunday, we went over to my family's house. Mom and dad made an awesome pot roast dinner, and then we all played this singing game...bummer, can't remember the name of it. It's kind of like rockband/but just the singer.

We had a fun time with you guys! Can't wait to see you again soon! Love you!

Isn't our nephew SO cute?!
