Life is Great!
Life has been pretty busy but lots of fun!! It's been hard for me to keep up with the blog lately with everything going on. So, like my last post I decided I would sum up everything again that we have been doing.
I had my bunion surgery, that went very well! My foot is healing the way it should be. I had to be down and off my foot for awhile, so I got caught up with the Twilight Saga. I am completely obsessed with the books! In the book Eclipse, it came with these Team Edward and Team Jacob decals. So, my little sister Kjersti and I made t-shirts with them. And NO, I am not ashamed to wear my Team Edward t-shirt. I can't wait to see the movie!!
Steve and I celebrated our 2 year Anniversary on Sept 20th! We couldn't do a ton, because of my foot. But we had a great time being able to spend time with one another. We went to lunch and had Cafe Rio and then went and saw "Mamma Mia!" I love that movie! I loved the music and the dancing. I can't wait for it to come out on video. Then Steve and I went to my parents house and said our goodbye's to my cute brother's family. Kody, Jade and baby Carson moved to Washington for a couple years. Steve and I had a great Anniversary! I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful husband. He's everything that I could of ever asked for and more. I love you Steve!
I started working again at Principal Financial Group. I'm so happy to finally start up work again! Principal was so nice and gave me my job back. (I worked there before we moved to Washington) It's been great working and seeing my work friends again.
Last weekend was great being able to listen to conference and spend time with family.
Every conference, my mom and sisters have a ladies night while the men go to the priesthood session. We switch off going to Roberts or Desert Book. (Those of you who haven't heard of ladies night, Roberts and Desert book give gifts, have entertainment, food and fun for all the women while there men go to priesthood session.) Well, this year we went to Desert book and had a great time! I love spending time with my mom and sisters. It's great to take a night out and spend time with each other.
This week we were able to go to the Jazz game! Thanks to Kjersti's friend Landon. He gave us 24th row tickets to the Jazz game! It was great to be able to actually see the players faces! :) This weekend we hung out with our friends Todd and Larissa. We carved pumpkins and watched "The nightmare before Christmas." We had lots of fun carving, but that isn't my favorite movie... I love decorating for the holidays. Then yesterday, my sister-in law to be had her bridal shower, so I was able to spend time with all of Steve's family! Which is always lots of fun. We also celebrated my mom's birthday! We went to Letherby's and had ice cream. Love you MOM and Happy Birthday!
So, that's what we have been up to!

Bye Bye Bunion

Well I'm happy to say that I had my right bunion removed last Monday and I'm very happy that the first week is over with. Those of you who didn't know, I had the surgery done through Syriex. It's a research study. They paid for everything, the only gist is, I had to stay at there hospital from Monday-Friday with no visitors. It seems weird, but the reason why is because it's a controlled study. The surgery went really well. When I first woke up I felt completely fine. I didn't feel nauseated from the anesthesia and was able to eat and relax. That night though was really hard. My foot throbbed the entire night and I couldn't sleep. It also didn't help that I couldn't see Steve.
The week went by fast and I became addicted to the Twilight series! I can't get enough of the books. I can't do a whole lot right now with my foot, so I just read and read...

The last couple weeks....

Steve and I made it home from Washington a couple weeks ago! We have loved being home and catching up with family and friends. Right when we came home we headed out to Lake Powell for a week and spent time with the Ford family on the houseboat. We had so much fun! Steve caught a lot of fish, and I learned how to get up on a slolam ski! :) I still need a lot of practice, but I got up on my first try!
The following week we went to my family's house and had a family get together. It was fun to see all my family again and to catch with everyone. We also went to Grandpa and Grandma Ford's annual Labor day sleepover. It was a lot of fun playing games with all the cousins and we usually sleep outside, but because of all the rain we had to sleep inside this year.
We also were able to go to my foot doctor's appointment (for my bunions) and I actually am going into surgery tomorrow to have them removed! YAY!!! What a blessing!
Steve has started school, and he's liking his classes (so far). He's enjoying it, but knows it's going to be a lot of hard work.
This weekend, Steve and I had a great time on Friday night going to Whit's volleyball games and cheering her on! Yesterday, we were able to spend time with Jason and Shannon. We went and did wedding preparations and then went to the state fair!
So, that's a little sum up of our life the last couple weeks!

Happy Birthday Liz!

Our last week in Washington
I can't believe how fast our time here in Washington has gone. The summer is flying by! Tomorrow is our last day here in washington. I'm really excited to come home and see family and friends, but i'm also going to miss it here. Steve and I have had an awesome experience living here! We have loved seeing all the sights, meeting new friends and living by the ocean. Steve and I were also able to spend so much time together, which has been wonderful. We don't start work until 1:30 everyday, so we have been able to go to the ocean, go for a walk, play a game etc. Yesterday, we were able to go to the gym and steve played basketball with all the guys that work with Stone. Steve did so well! I had a great time cheering him and Jason on! It was also my good friend, Liz's birthday. So, we celebrated while we worked and ate cake.
Today, our friends, the Morrison's invited us to have lunch at there house and say our goodbye's along with seeing there sweet new baby girl. We had a great time with them, and we are going to miss them!
Washington has been great and I hope we can come back and visit soon.

San Juan Island and Whale Watching
Steve and I started off the week really well! Yesterday, on our day off we were able to get up early and take a ferry to San Juan Island. The ferry took an hour to get there, and so we enjoyed the view and each other's company.
Once we got to the Island we walked around the little shops and found a cute Orca ornament that says San Juan Island on it. (We have a tradition of collecting ornaments for our christmas tree from places we visit!)
Then we went to San Juan Excursions and bought our tickets to go whale watching!! Steve and I have wanted to this ever since we got to Washington, but were debating on if it would be worth the money. My in-laws were able to go when they visited with us, and they said it was well worth it. So, it being our last monday (day off) we decided to go for it!
We then met up with our friends, the Thompson's. We all walked around the Island and then by 1pm it was time to get on the boat! The experience was awesome! We saw Seals, a bald eagle and lots of Orca's! We even saw a mom and her baby swimming together. It's amazing how graceful they are when they swim.
I recommend this adventure to anyone who has the chance!
